Special Truffle & Wine Tasting Dinner
Posted in Event le 30 January 2023The black Périgord truffle, with the Latin name of tuber melanosporum, is recognised by the finest gastronomes as the "black diamond" of the kitchen, "the black nugget" according to Christophe Meynard, truffle grower in Saint-Emilion who produced and selected the truffles for this dinner. The truffle lives in symbiosis with its tree, usually the oak, and develops on limestone soils, benefiting from the summer sun, the autumn rains and the winter cold, when it is harvested from December to February.
