Exceptional "Maeght Universe" exhibition at the Chillida Leku Museum

Here, the year 2024 will mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of one of Spain's leading Basque artists, the artist-sculptor Eduardo Chillida.

The program planned for the Centenary is an invitation to (re)discover the life and legacy of Chillida to the history of contemporary art, as well as to his homeland, the Basque Country.  It's the perfect opportunity to (re)visit our beautiful region, renowned for its art of living, with its subtle blend of vitality, authenticity and conviviality. A real boost of simple joys and inspiration to kick-start the new year!

Until April 14, 2024, the Fondation Maeght, in partnership with the Chillida Leku museum in Hernani (20 min from the hotel), presents a dialogue between exceptional works by 20th-century masters such as Braque, Calder, Miró, Chagall, Giacometti and Tàpies, and those of their friend Eduardo Chillida.

This exhibition brings together artists who shared the atmosphere of creation, utopia and freedom that reigned at the Fondation of art dealer Aimé Maeght and his wife Marguerite, in Saint-Paul-de-Vence.
